Dr. Ardian Muhaj is a distinguished faculty member at the Institute of History within the prestigious Academy of Sciences of Albania in Tirana. He is also a Correspondent Member of the Portuguese Academy of History in Lisbon. His exemplary scholarship in medieval history was recognized with the Costa Veiga Award in 2008, a prestigious honor bestowed by the Portuguese Academy of History for outstanding monographic work.

Dr. Muhaj’s academic contributions include five published monographs and scientific dissertations that have added significant depth to historical discourse. Additionally, he has enriched the academic community by translating and preparing for publication ten books from Spanish, Portuguese, and English. His extensive research is documented in the authorship of numerous scientific articles and presentations disseminated across a global platform, with publications in Albania, Kosova, Turkey, Hungary, Italy, the USA, Spain, Portugal, England, Malta, Bosnia-Hercegovina, and Algeria, among others.

A familiar face in academic circles, Dr. Muhaj has participated in and presented at countless conferences, workshops, and symposia, both nationally and internationally. Beyond the bounds of academia, he has been a prolific contributor to the Albanian press, with over a hundred articles, literary pieces, opinions, interviews, and analyses published not only in Albania but also in Kosova, Macedonia, Switzerland, England, the USA, and Serbia. His varied contributions reflect a dynamic engagement with both historical scholarship and public intellectualism.
